StarNexus Science Press is a non-profit gold open access publisher based in Hong Kong, operating as the publishing arm of the Greater Bay Area StarNexus Innovation Institute Limited. We publish peer-reviewed journals across arts, communication, digital media, intelligent medicine, education technology, and digital economy.
Yes. StarNexus Science Press is a legally registered non-profit academic publisher in Hong Kong. We follow COPE ethical guidelines, operate transparent peer review processes, and our journals are registered with ISSN and Crossref.
Yes. All journals published by StarNexus Science Press are gold open access. Articles are freely available to readers worldwide under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
All manuscripts should be submitted through our online submission system (OJS). Please visit the journal's website and click the "Submit" button. You will need to create an account if you are a first-time user.
We use a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by 3-4 independent reviewers. The first decision is typically made within 4-6 weeks of submission.
No. There is no fee for submitting a manuscript. APC is only charged after acceptance.
The standard APC is 800 USD. However, each journal offers special discounts for inaugural issues, role-based discounts for editors, and full waivers for the top 40% of accepted articles. Please refer to the specific journal's APC policy for details.
APC is invoiced only after your manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. You will receive an invoice along with the acceptance notification.
Yes. Discounts are available for Editorial Board Members (40% off), Associate Editors (60% off), and the Editor-in-Chief (100% off). Additionally, the top 40% of accepted articles in each issue receive full APC waivers.
Yes. StarNexus Science Press follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Core Practices. We use iThenticate for plagiarism screening and investigate any suspected misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Authors retain full copyright of their work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing users to share, adapt, and build upon the work with proper attribution.
Yes. We welcome submissions that have previously appeared on recognized preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv). However, the final published version cannot be posted on preprint servers.
We welcome applications from active researchers with a doctoral degree and a strong publication record. Please send your CV and a cover letter indicating your areas of expertise to acdm@starnexus.press.
Board members are expected to contribute approximately 8-12 hours per year, including 2-3 peer reviews, 1 invited editorial column, and 1-2 promotional activities. Each board member is supported by 1-2 dedicated in-house editors.
Yes. Board members may withdraw at any time for any reason. We respect your decision, update the website list promptly, and express our gratitude for your contributions.
