Frontiers in Intelligent Medicine & Health is a fully open access journal. The APC covers rigorous peer review, editorial management, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, dissemination, and long-term digital archiving (Portico/CLOCKSS).

Important note: The APC does not influence editorial decisions in any way. An APC invoice will be issued only after the manuscript has successfully completed the full peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication. No submission or review fees apply.

1. Standard APC Rates

Middle-income countries/regions 550 USD
Country classification follows the latest World Bank income classification. Authors from low‑income countries may apply for a full or partial waiver. Please contact the editorial office for details (waiver requests evaluated case by case).

2. Launch Promotional Discounts (2026–2028)

  • 2026 (Year 1 – Inaugural volume): 40% off → High-income: 660 USD / Middle-income: 330 USD
  • 2027 (Year 2): 30% off → High-income: 770 USD / Middle-income: 385 USD
  • 2028 (Year 3): 20% off → High-income: 880 USD / Middle-income: 440 USD
Promotional discounts apply automatically to all eligible submissions accepted within the calendar years shown. These discounts cannot be combined with author role discounts (the lowest rate will apply).

3. Author Role Discounts

Authors with the following roles are entitled to discounts during their term. If multiple discounts apply, only the lowest rate will be charged (no stacking).

  • Editorial Board member: 50% discount
  • Associate Editor: 30% discount
  • Editor-in-Chief: 100% waiver (APC fully waived)

4. Invited Submissions Waiver

Manuscripts invited by the Editor-in-Chief or the Publisher (e.g., review articles, commentaries, opinion pieces) are fully exempt from the APC.
