AI & Intelligent Health Systems (AIHS) is an international peer‑reviewed, gold open access journal dedicated to advancing the transformative role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. We publish original research, critical reviews, and case studies that explore AI-driven diagnostics, smart health systems, and the ethical, social, and policy dimensions of intelligent health technologies.

Core Areas of Interest

AI-Driven Diagnostics

Machine learning for medical imaging, predictive diagnostics, clinical decision support systems, and AI-assisted early disease detection.

Intelligent Health Systems

Smart hospitals, integrated health platforms, AI-powered electronic health records, and system-level automation in healthcare delivery.

Digital & Precision Health

Personalized medicine, genomics and AI, wearable health technology, remote patient monitoring, and digital biomarkers.

Health Data Science

Big data analytics in healthcare, real-world evidence, health informatics, data privacy, and security in medical AI applications.

Ethical & Social Implications

AI ethics in healthcare, algorithmic fairness, patient autonomy, regulatory frameworks, and the societal impact of intelligent health systems.

Implementation & Translation

Real-world AI deployment, clinical translation, health system integration, implementation science, and evidence-based health AI.

Interdisciplinary Mission

AIHS actively encourages contributions that bridge multiple domains. We are particularly interested in work that:

  • Advances AI-driven diagnostics and predictive analytics in healthcare
  • Develops intelligent health systems and smart clinical workflows
  • Addresses ethical, regulatory, and social challenges in health AI
  • Integrates digital health data with clinical decision-making
  • Translates AI research into real-world healthcare practice and policy
  • Promotes equity and fairness in the design and deployment of health AI
We welcome both conceptual and empirical studies, policy analyses, and practice‑based research that contributes to the responsible and effective use of AI in intelligent health systems.
