1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright of their work published in ACDM. No transfer of copyright is required. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and agree to the terms of the Creative Commons license under which the article will be made available.

2. Creative Commons License (CC BY 4.0)

All articles published in ACDM are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows anyone to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially

Under the following term: Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

No permission is required from the authors or the publisher for reuse, provided the original work is properly cited. Authors are encouraged to include a citation to the published article when reusing their own work.

3. Author Rights

  • Authors may post the published version (PDF) of their article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or subject‑based repositories (e.g., arXiv, SSRN) at any time.
  • Authors may use the published article in their own teaching, future research, or as part of a book or thesis.
  • Authors may share the article via scholarly collaboration networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu) provided the version of record and a link to the journal DOI are included.
  • No embargo applies; all articles are immediately open access upon publication.

4. Third‑Party Material

If a manuscript includes material (e.g., figures, tables, excerpts) that is owned by a third party, the authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions and for acknowledging the original source. Such permissions must be submitted with the manuscript.

5. Commercial Reuse

The CC BY 4.0 license permits commercial reuse. Third parties may commercially use, reproduce, or distribute ACDM articles without further permission, as long as proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.

6. Licensing for Issues and Galleys

Each article is individually licensed under CC BY 4.0. The same license applies to the entire issue compilation (cover, table of contents, layout). However, individual articles may be cited separately and are subject to their own attribution requirements.
