Journal of Interactive and Intelligent Learning (JIIL) is a fully open access journal. The APC covers rigorous peer review, editorial management, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, dissemination, and long-term digital archiving (Portico/CLOCKSS).

Important note: The APC does not influence editorial decisions in any way. An APC invoice will be issued only after the manuscript has successfully completed the full peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication. No submission or review fees apply.

1. Standard APC Rates

All countries/regions 800 USD
The standard APC is 800 USD for all countries/regions. Authors from low‑income countries may apply for a full or partial waiver. Please contact the editorial office for details (waiver requests evaluated case by case).

2. Inaugural Issue – Special Offer

  • APC for Inaugural Issue: 180 USD
  • Complimentary print copy: All authors receive 1 free hardbound print copy (shipping costs borne by the author).
  • Top 50% waivers: 50% of accepted articles will be selected for full APC waivers based on editorial assessment.
This special offer applies to all submissions accepted for the inaugural volume. These discounts cannot be combined with author role discounts (the lowest rate will apply).

3. Author Role Discounts

Authors with the following roles are entitled to discounts during their term. If multiple discounts apply, only the lowest rate will be charged (no stacking).

  • Editorial Board Member: 40% discount
  • Associate Editor: 60% discount
  • Editor-in-Chief: 100% waiver (APC fully waived)

4. Invited Submissions Waiver

Manuscripts invited by the Editor-in-Chief or the Publisher (e.g., review articles, commentaries, opinion pieces) are fully exempt from the APC.
