Submit your research to Digital Culture & Interactive Media
Digital Culture & Interactive Media (DCIM) is an international peer‑reviewed, gold open access journal published by StarNexus Science Press (Hong Kong). The journal explores the intersection and integration of digital culture, interactive media, and social communication. All submissions are handled through our OJS system.

Submission Steps
Average processing time from submission to first decision: 4–6 weeks. We strive for efficient and constructive peer review.
Prepare
Download templates and prepare your manuscript according to the format requirements. Ensure anonymity for double‑blind review.
Submit
Create an account or log in to OJS and follow the five‑step submission process. You can save drafts and submit later.
Peer Review
Double‑blind review by at least three independent experts. You will be notified of the decision within 4–6 weeks.
Publish
Once accepted, your article is published online with a Crossref DOI and CC BY 4.0 license, ensuring global visibility.

If you need to contact a specific Editorial Board Member regarding your submitted manuscript, please send your inquiry to the editorial office at dcim@starnexus.press.
Important: To ensure your message reaches the right person, please include the subject line prefix: [For: Editor Name] (e.g., [For: Prof. Jesvin Puay Hwa YEO]).
Please note that all correspondence related to your manuscript should be conducted through the official channels to ensure proper tracking and confidentiality.
Manuscript Format Requirements
- Language: English (or bilingual with English translation)
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or LaTeX
- Word Count: 4,000–8,000 words (including references & tables)
- Required Sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, References, Author information, Funding statement, Conflict of Interest
- Citation Style: APA 7th edition
- Anonymization: Remove all author identifiers for double‑blind review
- Figures & Tables: High resolution (300 dpi), labeled sequentially, placed near first mention
Submissions that do not comply with these formatting guidelines will be returned to authors for revision before entering peer review.

- ✓ Ensure your manuscript is anonymized for double‑blind review
- ✓ Download and use our Word or LaTeX template
- ✓ Prepare a cover letter explaining the significance of your work
- ✓ Confirm that all authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Inaugural Issue APC Fee: 180 USD.
(The standard APC will be 800 USD from 2027 onward. For details on waivers and discounts, please refer to the APC Policy Page.)
- Free print sample copy: A complimentary hardbound print copy will be provided. Authors must fill in the sample copy request form after acceptance to arrange delivery.
- Top 40% waivers: Based on editorial assessment, 40% of accepted articles will receive a full APC waiver.
- Role-Based Discounts: Associate Editors enjoy 60% off the applicable APC; Editorial Board Members enjoy 40% off the applicable APC. These discounts apply during your term and are combined with any existing promotional rates.
No submission fees. APC is charged only upon acceptance.

Journal Policies
Sample Copy Policy
For every accepted article, Digital Culture & Interactive Media provides the corresponding author with one complimentary print copy of the issue in which their work appears. The print copy will be shipped via SF Express (tracking number provided). Please confirm your full mailing address with the editorial office after acceptance. The digital edition is freely available online and will be sent to the author's registered email.
