With the deep integration of generative artificial intelligence and immersive digital environments into the entire process of artistic creation and cross-cultural communication, what we are experiencing is no longer just the iteration of technology-assisted creation methods, but a cognitive revolution around human-machine co-creation, meaning generation, and cultural subjectivity. The rapid rise of large language models and multimodal generation technologies has broken the inherent boundaries between creators and creative tools; the popularization of algorithmic curation and the global penetration of media platforms have enabled global cultural exchange to break free from the one-way linear transmission mode, forming a new pattern of hyperlinks, multidimensionality, and interwoven symbiosis.
As technological logic continues to infiltrate the sensory experience of the public, new era propositions arise: how can artistic creation embrace the diverse expansion capabilities of algorithmic technology while adhering to the unique life experiences, aesthetic traits, and critical thinking abilities of humans? How can cross-cultural dialogue rely on digital media to break through regional barriers, achieve cultural exchange, and avoid the dilemma of cultural homogenization and value singularity under the influence of traffic? These issues have become core contemporary topics in the intersection of art, communication, computer science, and cognitive philosophy.
It is precisely at this juncture of disciplinary paradigm iteration and industry restructuring that the journal ACDM was born. This journal focuses on the deep integration of artistic creation, cultural dissemination, and digital media, delving into the underlying logic and inherent laws of their coupled symbiosis. We firmly believe that true art is neither a purely aesthetic image detached from technology and suspended in reality, nor a superficial visual stimulus to please the senses, but rather an experiential reshaping, cultural awakening, and cognitive exploration accomplished through digital media. It continuously broadens the dimensions of human perception of the world, constantly exploring more possibilities for life and existence.
True cultural dissemination is not limited to the coverage of information dissemination and the duration of audience stay, but also lies in delicate empathy for different regions and cultural characteristics, deep participation in cross-cultural meaning negotiation, and continuous expansion of open, diverse, and equal public discourse space. And true digital media is not simply a neutral carrier of information. It nurtures new ways of aesthetic perception, gathers new cultural communities, and is the core field for cultural discourse exchange, competition, and coexistence in the digital age.

As an open access academic journal (Gold OA), ACDM strictly adheres to the academic principle of double-blind peer review, committed to breaking down disciplinary barriers between artistic creation, communication research, and digital technology, and building a global interdisciplinary dialogue platform that integrates theoretical speculation, practical innovation, and academic reflection. We closely follow innovative breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields such as AI-generated art, immersive interactive installations, revitalization of digital cultural heritage, virtual idols, and social intelligent media. At the same time, we encourage the academic community to conduct in-depth and prudent academic research and interpretation of digital art and communication phenomena from multiple perspectives, including phenomenological aesthetics, media archaeology, intercultural communication ethics, and posthuman critical theory.
We firmly believe that in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, only by rediscovering humanistic perspectives, upholding the fundamental principles of humanity, and building an open and transparent academic dialogue mechanism on top of the implicit rules of algorithms can digital media truly become a high-quality vehicle for liberating aesthetic perception and promoting cultural understanding, rather than a shackle that binds humanistic spirit and alienates artistic creation.
ACDM is willing to join hands with artists, researchers, designers, and industry creators around the world, based on rational thinking and driven by emotional creation, to jointly sort out the creative laws and dissemination logic of the era of human-machine symbiosis, and to jointly outline the spiritual landscape of the digital age of multi-subject symbiosis and mutual learning among multiple civilizations.
